Mind Games

The mind can be manipulated in a multitude of strange and mysterious ways.

Every day of our lives, we are bombarded by subliminal messages thrown at us by advertising agencies, television, newspapers, politicians and peers.

Some of these subliminal messages are intentional and some of them are not.

For example, if I ask you NOT to think of a big black dog, what do you do? You think of a big black dog. That's because the phrase "think of a big black dog" was there in the sentence.

It is for this reason that it is very difficult to give up some psychological habits such as smoking. By thinking that you need to stop smoking you are concentrating on the very thing you need to stop doing!

In order to find out how some of these subliminal messages are accomplished, we need to look a little harder at how the mind works. These following tests will give you an idea.

Test One

Here's something interesting!

Try to read the following sentence:-

"Aoccdrnig to rseearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht het frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by it slef but the wrod as a wlohe. ceehiro."

Isn't it amazing how the mind works?

Mind Control

Only thirty percent of the way we communicate is done verbally. The other seventy percent is nonverbal communication.

Every day we are sending out hundreds of messages to anyone who is skilled enough to pick them up.

The way we look, the way we talk, the way we dress can all tell someone a great deal about the type of people we are.

Add to that mix micro expressions, psychological profiling, speech analysis and behavioural analysis and it is amazing the amount of information that we give away without being consciously aware of it.
